    The SCA Barista Skills Professional is the highest-level qualification in the SCA Coffee Skills Program, designed for experienced baristas who have already completed the Intermediate level. This course is ideal for Head Baristas, Trainers, and Coffee Professionals who want to deepen their technical understanding, improve sensory and management skills, and operate confidently in advanced coffee environments or competitions. You’ll explore the science of extraction, milk chemistry, advanced latte art, café management, and roasting variables. Through both theoretical and practical components, you’ll refine your barista expertise and gain the ability to manage espresso quality, develop recipes, and train others to SCA standards. Theory Exam: -30 multiple-choice questions (online) -32 minutes, 80% passing score Practical Exam: -Sensory Perception: Identify the odd cup out in 4 triangle sets -Brew Recipe Design: Create and optimize espresso recipes -Workflow & Latte Art: Execute consistent drinks under time pressure -Equipment Calibration: Demonstrate control of key brewing variables -Learners must pass all components to receive SCA certification.
