Tasting notes

This lot comes from the Buture Washing station in the Jimma Zone of Oromia Region, Ethiopia, at around 1,900 to 2,200 masl. It was produced by members of the Jimma Farmers Multi-purpose Agricultural Cooperative Union. Founded in 2004 with 7,818 members, that number has grown to 141,146 farmers across 28 coffee cooperatives. In addition to supporting more sustainable growing practices and opening specialty markets for its members, the cooperative is committed to community development projects. These include the construction of schools and health centers, maintenance of rural roads, the provision of clean water, and support for educational initiatives in the region.
