Character
Muriama estate is a reimagined second-generation coffee farm in Kenya that reflects a family’s commitment to progress. Founded in 1954 with just 100 trees, the family spent decades selling coffee cherries to the local “coffee factory,” where they were processed and blended with coffee from other growers. Through incremental investments, they gained more control over how their coffee tastes and where it’s sold. Years of quality improvement have culminated in the bold, yet delicate flavors in the cup: bright grapefruit acidityAcidityThe bright, lively, fruit-like sensation in coffee — praise, not a flaw. Citric sparkle, malic apple-crispness, tartaric wine notes; light roasts preserve more of it. balanced by black currant compote sweetness and a silky mouthfeelBodyThe weight and texture of coffee in the mouth, from tea-like and delicate to syrupy and heavy. Driven by process, roast, variety, and brew method.. Pronunciation: Moo-ree-AH-mah
