Origin Story Weithaga AA represents the work of over 800 smallholderSmallholderA farmer growing coffee on a small family plot — often under two hectares. Most of the world's coffee is grown this way, typically pooled at cooperatives or washing stations. producers and demonstrates the most precise milling protocols exported from Kenya. The coffee is grown in the Aberdare Mountain range which has ideal growing conditions. We purchased this lot with the help of Mbula Musau of Utake Coffee and BD Imports. The auction refers to the Nairobi Coffee Exchange where nearly all coffee passes on its way to being exported. This buying model is unique and one of the ways that Kenyan farmers are rewarded for the quality of their harvest.
