Test batches are an inevitable part of the roasting process. There are sometimes roasts that don’t hit the target roast-profile we were aiming for or the green coffeeGreen coffeeUnroasted coffee seeds as they are traded and shipped. Roasters buy green and roast locally; 'green buying' is the sourcing side of the craft. did not meet our expectations for different reasons. Even though this coffee did not fully meet our quality standards, it is a great coffee nonetheless. All coffee sold as Test Roast comes from the wonderful coffee producers that we work with, and we rather sell it at a lower price to not waste all the hard work that went into growing and processing the coffee beans. Test Roast coffee is a bit of a lucky dip, we do not provide what coffee is in the bag. Availability is limited since this depends on when we have a batch that we’ll sell as a test roast.
