This coffee comes from Aricha Adorsi Washing StationWashing stationA central mill where many smallholder farmers deliver cherry for processing. In Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda the station name (e.g. Idido) often identifies the coffee. in Yirgachefe, the celebrated coffee producing district in southern Ethiopia. Dozens of farmers contributed to this lot, all from Naga Singage, "the mountain of reconciliation." Coffees from Yirgachefe are beloved for their sweet citrus and floral qualities. This lot, our first of 2024, is a clear example, with sunny flavors of tangerine, candied orange, apricot, peach, honeyHoney processThe skin is removed but some sticky fruit mucilage is left on during drying. Lands between washed and natural: more sweetness and body than washed, cleaner than natural., and orange blossom.
