Character
Samuel Degelo is one of the 800 producers who deliver coffee to the Bishan Dimo Washing StationWashing stationA central mill where many smallholder farmers deliver cherry for processing. In Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda the station name (e.g. Idido) often identifies the coffee.. He is considered to be one of the station's model farmers, continually expanding and sharing his knowledge for the betterment of his community. He also works at the local elementary school in Danbi Uddo, earning him a nickname "the teacher-farmer, Mr. Samuel." Samuel's coffee is incredible. JuicyAcidityThe bright, lively, fruit-like sensation in coffee — praise, not a flaw. Citric sparkle, malic apple-crispness, tartaric wine notes; light roasts preserve more of it. and floral, we taste ripe stone fruit and citrus accents—think syrupy peach, lemon-lime, guava, and raspberry. This is our second year purchasing his coffee and we're delighted to share it with you again.
