The estate is now under its third generation of family stewardship, with Esther managing it since Stephen's passing in 2015 alongside their sons, Edwin Kamau Mati and Benson Njiru Mati. This particular lot was produced as a part of the Retro 1984 project, which was the source of several outstanding Reserve Lots last year. Similar to a number of those prior releases, this lot is composed entirely of the SL28 variety. A big, sweet, and savory Kenyan profile, we find fresh blackberry and lime peel in the cup alongside additional flavors of blackcurrant, cola, and fresh sungold tomato in the finish.
