Character

Located on the slopes of Mount Kenya in Embu County, Oneska is a family-run coffee farm established in the early 1990s by Onesmus Njagi and his spouse, Karen. The estate takes its name from a combination of the couple's first names—Ones(mus) and Ka(ren). Across ten carefully cultivated acres, the farm grows primarily SL28, SL34, and Gesha varieties, making it an ideal candidate for the Retro 1984 project. Similar to several prior releases from the project last year, this lot features a blend of SL28 and SL34, two iconic Kenyan varieties known for their exceptional cup quality. In the cup we find bright red fruit including pomegranate and redcurrant, as well as juicy Meyer lemon, and a base of sweet toffee and vanilla.
