Roberto Brenes isn't your typical coffee farmer. After studying at Colombia University in New York, Roberto spent most of his life in the world of finance. It wasn't until retirement that Roberto began his life as a coffee producer. Located at the Northwest corner of the Chiriquí province, Finca Auromar is only two kilometers from the border of Costa Rica, part of what Roberto calls the GeishaGesha (Geisha)A rare, jasmine-and-bergamot scented variety originally from Ethiopia's Gesha forest, made famous by Panama's Hacienda La Esmeralda. Routinely the most expensive coffee at auction. Golden Triangle. The biodiversity at the farm is part of what makes the coffees from here so special.
