This Maracaturra lot was produced by the lovely Hoyes family. Orlando Hoyes is the third generation began renovating the Maracaturra plantations in Finca Campo Amor in 2018. Finca Amor is located in the beautiful community of El CastilloCastilloColombia's leaf-rust-resistant variety, bred by Cenicafé from Caturra and Timor hybrid. Long dismissed by purists, it now wins competitions when grown and processed well., in the municipality of Las Sabanas. This Maracaturra plantation has been a labour of love, renovating and elevating its production from 3 bags to 11 bags this past year. This coffee has always been prepared in the classic washedWashed processThe fruit is removed from the seed before drying, usually with fermentation and a water rinse.
