Finca El Pergamino is located in the district of Tierras Altas, in the province of Chiriqui, in Bambito, on the western slope of Volcan Baru. The region is known as "Little Switzerland" because of its many mountains, steep hillside farms and cool climate. Influenced by the Pacific Ocean breeze, there are frequent showers and temperatures range from 5°C to 26°C, and the altitude is about 1,300 to 3,000 meters, making it ideal for coffee cultivation. The owner Yaneth Deducich has set up a post-processing plant at 1,920 meters above sea level, higher than the growing area, providing cold conditions during the drying phase to prevent excessive fermentation which can retain more of the floral aroma, sweetness and clean qualities of the geisha varietyVariety (cultivar)The botanical subtype of the coffee plant — Gesha, Bourbon, SL28 — analogous to grape varieties in wine.
