This is our first year purchasing coffee from Fanci Morales, an exceptional producer who has consistently placed in regional competitions. She grows Pink BourbonBourbonOne of the two foundational arabica varieties (with Typica), named after Île Bourbon (Réunion). Sweet, balanced, caramel-leaning; parent of countless modern cultivars. on a small 2-hectare (~4.9-acre) garden with remarkable care and precision. In the cup we find ripe forest berries, wildflower honeyHoney processThe skin is removed but some sticky fruit mucilage is left on during drying. Lands between washed and natural: more sweetness and body than washed, cleaner than natural., and tea.
