Steps

  1. Fill the base with hot water to just below the valve (temp_c refers to starting water)

  2. Level the basket without tamping, assemble, medium-low heat, lid open

  3. When flow turns pale and starts to sputter, cut the heat

  4. Run the base under cold water to stop extraction; serve
