We use this rich, sweet coffee to make our in-house cold brew. While it’s great over ice, Linear Cold Brew Blend also delivers smooth sweetness when brewed hot. The straight-ahead character of Linear makes it a great stand-by. We received many requests over the past few years for the “best coffee for making cold brew.” While any coffee can be used for cold brew, Linear is intentionally sourced and roasted to compliment the cold brew process with the perfect combination of sweetness and body. To make cold brew, follow these simple steps using a vessel of your choosing: (If you like exact recipes and methods, check out our guide for making cold brew with the Toddy system. ) Grind 10 ounces of coffee on a coarse setting and place in a large vessel Add 1.75 quarts (1,650 mL) of cold, filtered water and stir Allow to steep 24 hours (preferably in the refrigerator) Strain/filter out the grounds (we like to use a big coffee filter ) Cut your concentrate with 1-2 quarts of cold water*, to taste Serve over ice and enjoy! Store cold brew in the fridge in a sealed container to keep it fresh for 1-2 weeks. * For a refreshing change, try cutting your concentrate with tonic water or chocolate milk.
