Origin Story This marks our second release of the year from Kivubelt Coffee, which is owned and operated by our Direct Trade partner Furaha Umwizeye. Located in the Nyamasheke district of western Rwanda, this coffee comes from a group of smallholderSmallholderA farmer growing coffee on a small family plot — often under two hectares. Most of the world's coffee is grown this way, typically pooled at cooperatives or washing stations. farmers, collectively known as People’s Farm. In Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda the station name (e.g. Idido) often identifies the coffee., and is a coffee with intense jammy sweetness balanced by citrus peel.
