Tasting notes
Ana Mildred Muñoz Hernández founded Grupo Santa María in Santa Maria, Aratoca, Santander, Colombia in 2017, and has spent the years since empowering local women in the production of specialty organic coffee. Raised on a small coffee farm, Ana Mildred developed a love for coffee from a young age, helping with harvesting and drying. Today, she is the leader of the Hacienda Cafetera Santa María collective, and the Administrative Manager of Hacienda Cafetera La Pradera, alongside her husband, Oscar Daza Bautista. “Our commitment to these women has been crucial in strengthening the community and providing opportunities to improve their quality of life.”—Ana Mildred Muñoz Hernández HoneyHoney processThe skin is removed but some sticky fruit mucilage is left on during drying.
