Character

TASTING NOTES: blood orange / sparkling / pez candy PROCESS: Light washed "thermo shock" REGION: Huila, Colombia MORE ABOUT THIS COFFEE: This delicious pink bourbon coffee comes from the Huila region of Colombia. This juicy jewel sparkles with a smooth, orange-like citrus and a candy-like aroma. Award winning farmer, Beto Naraez applies an attention to detail and a willingness to experiment that clearly delivers a real stand out. If a coffee can be fun, this is it! A UNIQUE PROCESS: Typical categories that refer to coffee processing (i.e., washed, semi-washed, natural, etc.) don't always neatly apply. In this case, Narvaez innovates with an unconventional, multi-step fermentation process that includes a hot water 'shock' to wash the coffee, sealing in the sugars and amplifying it's unique flavor characteristics. This special coffee is seasonal and fleeting. Don't miss it!
