Colombia, Huila Co-Central Women's Lot Currently, Landmark is coffee from Co-Central (Central Huila Coffee Growers Cooperative). Co-central is a washing stationWashing stationA central mill where many smallholder farmers deliver cherry for processing. In Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda the station name (e.g. Idido) often identifies the coffee. that processes coffee for local growers in Huila, Colombia. This specific lot is composed of only coffee cherries sourced from their Women Growers Program which includes 600 different women. Like all Landmark coffees, this coffee underwent a washed processing and was processed by the contributing women producers at their farms. When purchasing washed coffee from these women, Co-Central hopes to give these producers visibility, empowerment, and more influence or control over their choice with what to do with their coffee.
