Created as a space to refine production techniques and share knowledge with producers across Colombia, the farm reflects a broader commitment to quality, sustainability, and long-term investment in Colombian coffee-growing communities. The project takes its name from Juan Martín, Julián’s son, whose birth coincided with the beginning of the farm. Alongside its research focus, Juan Martín has also invested heavily in environmental and social initiatives, including a large-scale solar installation at Banexport’s Popayán facilities and an employment model centred on stable working conditions, fair wages, and ongoing training opportunities for staff.
