Region: Santa Clara, Renacimiento , Chiriqui Elevation: 1500 masl About: Founded in 2015 by Aliss Hartmann, Fin ca M om o to is a new branch on the storied Hartmann family tree. Aliss and her four siblings grew up at Fin ca Hartmann, playing among the coffee trees and climbing on bags of stored parchment at the mill. As adults, the Hartmann children each took on roles at Fin ca Hartmann, with Aliss managing the administrative side of the business. As her own children, Giuliana and Giuseppe, grew up, she wanted them to experience a childhood similar to hers. She purchased Fin ca M om o to to teach them the value of the land, instill respect for nature, and share with them the same love and passion for coffee that her parents had shared with her. Aliss applies an environmentally sustainable approach to coffee production. Most of the coffee from Fin ca M om o to is processed using the natural method, significantly reducing water usage. While Fin ca M om o to may be known for Geisha, Aliss also grows several other varieties on the farm, including Typica, Caturra , and Maragogype . This lot is a blend of Caturra and Typica varieties.
