Gaitania is a village located in the Planadas municipality in the department of Tolima. Residents of Planadas have long been known, throughout Colombia, for their kindness – long ago, during various conflicts, political prisoners from either side were said to have been sheltered in Planadas – or so the story goes. This coffee was produced by the indigenous communities around Planadas , known as the Nasa Wesx . Focused on both quality and sustainability, the Nasa Wesx of Gaitania have managed to certify all their coffee as organic. Citric sparkle, malic apple-crispness, tartaric wine notes; light roasts preserve more of it., sweet, and fruit forward – with notes of berry and chocolate.
