Layo Teraga produces some of our favorite coffees from Ethiopia. Coffees from this washing stationWashing stationA central mill where many smallholder farmers deliver cherry for processing. In Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda the station name (e.g. Idido) often identifies the coffee. have a distinctly bright and effervescent acidityAcidityThe bright, lively, fruit-like sensation in coffee — praise, not a flaw. Citric sparkle, malic apple-crispness, tartaric wine notes; light roasts preserve more of it. that is hard to find anywhere else. We really look forward to tasting this coffee year after year. In the cup we find bright lemonade, hibiscus florality, and peach juice.
