We are super delighted to bring back one of our favorite Single Farmer Project coffees from Cafe Imports from farmer and producer Mrs. Tigest Wako! Mrs. Wako owns 7.6 ha of farmland in Idedo passed down from her family. She is one of the few female landowners in the area and one of largest farms in Idedo! Most coffee producers in Ethiopia have 1ha or grow their coffee at their homes instead of a larger scale farming project like we see in other parts of the world. Yirgacheffe coffees are largely shade grown and with organic practices. This coffee has historically been a barista and customer favorite for the delicious fruit flavors and sweetness.
