In 2012, Catholic Relief Services launched the Borderlands project to connect coffee growers in Nariño, Colombia, with the specialty market, offering farmers divided by conflict a new path to prosperity by working as a community. This collaboration unlocked the region’s coffee quality potential and created lasting economic opportunities.
