言わずと知れたコーヒー大国ブラジル。 世界で生産されるコーヒーの約30%がブラジル産と言われています。 今回ご紹介する農園が位置するエスピリットサント州では多くが傾斜面で コーヒーが栽培されています。 その風景から”ブラジルのコロンビア”と呼ばれ、他のエリアとは異なる明るくフルーティ な酸を持ったコーヒーが生産されています。 ２年ぶりのリリースとなるマルシアーノさんのコーヒーです。今ロットは2025年12月にエスピリット・サントの生産者を対象としたオークションで7位に入賞したコーヒーです。 農園主のマルシアーノと家族は25年以上前からコーヒーを生産していますが、 スペシャルティコーヒーの栽培に力を入れ始めたのは2006年からとのこと。 品質を向上させるためにこの地に適し”Catucai785”の苗を購入し、 新しいパルピングマシンを導入するなど農園に投資をしてきました。 それに加え、収穫、プロセス、乾燥まで全ての工程を家族で行っており、徹底した 品質管理の結果、地域のコンテストで素晴らしい結果を残しています。 今ロットの品種Variety (cultivar)The botanical subtype of the coffee plant — Gesha, Bourbon, SL28 — analogous to grape varieties in wine.
