For this seasonal iteration of Pathfinder, we’re proud to share a lot from Burundi’s Muyinga District, made possible through a carefully built partnership developed over many years. Bright, expressive and ideal for espresso, it showcases the distinctive terroirTerroirBorrowed from wine: the way a place — soil, altitude, climate, even neighboring crops — expresses itself in the cup, independent of variety and process. of this remote, hard‑to‑access region. Changing with the seasons 3-4 times a year, our Pathfinder programme is intentionally curated to showcase coffees from lesser-featured producing countries, to create a ‘bright’ coffee profile that suits espresso brewing.
