More than a decade later, that group has grown, and our relationships have deepened. Nahun was one of the first producers we started working with. At the time, he grew traditional varieties and processed coffee exclusively using the washedWashed processThe fruit is removed from the seed before drying, usually with fermentation and a water rinse. Through his commitment to both quality and collaboration, the standard of coffee produced in the Las Flores community has steadily improved. Alongside this, Nahun has continued to refine his own work, placing multiple times in the Honduras Cup of ExcellenceCup of Excellence (COE)A national competition and auction that identifies a country's best lots each year; winning 'COE' lots command dramatic price premiums. with his Parainema . We were fans of Nahun’s Honey Parainema long before his competition success, and remain so.
