The patriarch of the family, Alberto Sittón Ríos, acquired the farm from his father in 1945 and it remained his lifelong passion. Today, Bam bi to E s t at e is run by Priscil la , her brother Rafael, and her son Ivan . Located high up in the cloudy forests of Volcan Baru, Bam bi to E s t at e is nestled between two national parks and is intersected by two mountain ridges running from east to west, creating two distinct microclimates for coffee cultivation. This unique setting produces GeishaGesha (Geisha)A rare, jasmine-and-bergamot scented variety originally from Ethiopia's Gesha forest, made famous by Panama's Hacienda La Esmeralda.
