Gaitania is a village located in the Planadas municipality in the department of Tolima. Residents of Planadas have long been known, throughout Colombia, for their kindness – long ago, during various conflicts, political prisoners from either side were said to have been sheltered in Planadas – or so the story goes. This coffee was produced by the indigenous communities around Planadas , known as the Nasa Wesx . Focused on both quality and sustainability, the Nasa Wesx of Gaitania have managed to certify all their coffee as organic. This coffee is simple and approachable, with notes of chocolate and nougat.
