This is easily the best Chiroso lot we tasted this year. From the absolutely staggering altitude of 2,300 masl, this selection is exemplary of the remarkable potential of producing this varietyVariety (cultivar)The botanical subtype of the coffee plant — Gesha, Bourbon, SL28 — analogous to grape varieties in wine. A major driver of cup character alongside origin and process. in such terroirTerroirBorrowed from wine: the way a place — soil, altitude, climate, even neighboring crops — expresses itself in the cup, independent of variety and process.. In the cup we find peach jam, white florals, and passion fruit.
