Torcaza is situated just below Estación and Poro and is among the most prolific areas of Finca Sophia. Its name comes from the native Torcaza-Aliblanca, or White-winged Dove, a bird found throughout Finca Sophia and the Tierras Altas of Panamá. Together with the Quetzal, the Torcaza was the inspiration for the Finca Sophia logo, first introduced in 2014. We were so lucky to visit this farm in 2024 guided by Kelly Hartmann.
