Barinas Farm traces its roots back to 1820, when Mrs. Theodora Jacinta and her family arrived in Araxá. In 1950, Alberto Castro Alves became one of the region’s coffee pioneers, building the farm through innovation, diversification, and strong partnerships. Despite a devastating frost in 1975 that destroyed the coffee crops, the family’s passion for coffee helped Barinas recover and grow into the successful fifth-generation farm it is today, producing distinctive coffees enjoyed by consumers around the world.
