Tends to give clean, transparent cups where origin character shows clearly. About the Farm and the Coffee Gachatha F.C.S benefits from the red volcanic soils of Central Kenya’s Aberdare Range. The station is set up on the Thiba river, the source of water and central junction for Muthuaini, Thiriku, Gachenge, and Kianjau towns. These are the farmer that make up Gachatha’s 1,500+ membership. The location on the river makes water treatment, tree and soil conservation a priority for the group’s leadership.
