Grown in Colombia, this unrefined, organic sugar is made from three varieties of sugarcane. Farmers harvest cane and deliver it to the local press where the juice is evaporated, cooled and sifted into the soft, caramel-toned sugar. CANE SUGAR LOCATION: HUILA, COLOMBIA ORIGIN INFORMATION Level Ground’s organic cane sugar is packaged by a Fair Trade Organization (FTO) in Colombia called Fruandes , whose mission is to provide positive employment for women. Use this sugar for all your baking or stir into your coffee. Especially delicious in crumble toppings on pies, crisps and muffins. Cane sugar isn't as sweet as refined white sugar so it's a lovely substitute for those looking for a less sweet kick! Please note: we have discontinued our 20kg and 2kg sugar products .
