A true Ethiopian treasure! Sharbo Maro was born into a coffee-farming family. He’s also the oldest farmer in the Mokonisa village. Sharbo Maro established his farm in 2015 in the Mokonisa kebele of Wenago county, which borders the well-known Yirgacheffe county. Half of the 16-hectare farm is dedicated to coffee, predominantly the Kurume varietyVariety (cultivar)The botanical subtype of the coffee plant — Gesha, Bourbon, SL28 — analogous to grape varieties in wine. A major driver of cup character alongside origin and process.. Today, the farm produces nearly 9000kg of meticulously crafted, ‘export-ready’ coffee. This coffee is meticulously crafted with the support of the Jabanto Farmers Group -which Sharbo is proudly part of- encompassing 87 skilled farmers dedicated to cultivating single-farmer lots of outstanding quality.
