The Story: Half-Caff is back with our beloved Aequitas Decaf—and this time, Heza Hills joins the ride. This blendBlendCoffees from multiple origins roasted or mixed together for a consistent, balanced profile year-round — the traditional backbone of espresso menus. pairs the smooth charm of Minas Gerais’s Aequitas Decaf with a new addition from Kayanza Province: Heza Hills. Together, they create a creamy, comforting cup with notes of orange marmalade, marshmallow, and maple syrup richness. Perfect for all-day sipping, without overdoing it. Heza Hills is our newest find from Burundi. This washed Bourbon comes from the Heza Washing Station, part of the Long Miles Coffee Project, compiling cherry grown by small-scale farmers across five surrounding hills. While we’ve worked with Long Miles since 2022, this is our first year sourcing this “Hills” blend, and we’re excited to expand our partnership with this vibrant, high-grown lot. Brazil’s Aequitas Decaf, grown by Yuki Minami and decaffeinated with ethyl acetateSugarcane (EA) decafDecaffeination using ethyl acetate derived from fermented sugarcane, common in Colombia. Keeps sweetness well; often labeled 'EA' or 'sugarcane process'., continues to be the perfect base. Its smooth, mellow character is ideal for filter brewing, and pairing it with Heza Hills adds a fresh, lively twist. Through her export company, Aequitas, Yuki continues to champion equity and transparency for Cerrado farmers—and we’re proud to keep collaborating with her.
