The profile is clean and lifted, with citrus-floral aromatics, refined stone-fruit sweetness, and a focused finish shaped by the Hybrid Washed process. About Finca Las Margaritas, Cafe Granja La Esperanza Finca Las Margaritas is part of Café Granja La Esperanza, the Colombian specialty coffee project led by Rigoberto and Luis Eduardo Herrera. Located in Caicedonia, Valle del Cauca, Las Margaritas sits between 1,570 and 1,850 meters above sea level and is divided into multiple farm lots, giving CGLE a structured environment for matching variety, altitude, and processing style. The Herrera family’s coffee history began at Potosí, where Juan Antonio Herrera expanded the farm’s Typica plantings with Yellow Bourbon, Red Bourbon, and Caturra in 1945. Rigoberto and Luis later developed the project toward high-end specialty production, with particular attention to rare varieties and controlled post-harvest methods. Las Margaritas is one of the key farms within that program, and this Gesha reflects CGLE’s focus on variety-driven clarity and precise processing. About Gesha Gesha is a tall Arabica variety widely associated with high quality potential at elevation. In specialty coffee, well-grown Gesha lots are often valued for floral aromatics, citrus clarity, tea-like structure, and layered sweetness, though the final cup is always shaped by farm conditions, picking, processing, and roasting. In this lot, the lemon blossom note and bright peach-kiwi fruit expression fit the more aromatic side of Gesha without relying on heavy fermentation character.
