In Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda the station name (e.g. Idido) often identifies the coffee. covers 2 hectares of land and processes a total annual volume of coffee between 450–550 tons. 219 farmers deliver cherries to this washing station. Coffee wastewater management practices include reducing water use, separating coffee pulp from wastewater, and wastewater treatment. Rako is a classic Yirgacheffe style Ethiopian coffee – bright, tea like and sweet – with notes of black tea, blood orange and chocolate. This coffee was grown in Ethiopia’s dense, mountainous forests, home to some of the world’s most extraordinary and sought-after coffees.
