PROFILE: Decadent and Dessert-like WITH NOTES OF Marshmallow, Toffee, Milk Chocolate ROAST: Medium Roast For Espresso Brewing Download the Irmas Pereira, Brazil Transparency Report ABOUT In the early 1970s, Antonio and Maria Pereira purchased 90 acres of fertile land in Carmo de Minas. They had a passion for nature and a dream to grow and harvest the best coffee possible. They planted the first seedlings, and while those trees grew, two children were born—Maria Valeria and Maria Rogeria. From an early age, the two daughters were helping on the farm, learning to harvest and refining their processing techniques. Once they were married, the husbands joined the cause to make the family unit even stronger. Sadly, Antonio passed away, but this didn’t change the sisters’ drive to succeed. Later on, the farm name was changed from Serrado to Irmãs Pereira (Pereira Sisters). To this day, they continue to innovate, producing cutting-edge, experimental coffees in an ever-changing market, each year staying ahead of the curve. Maria Rogeria says, “Our greatest pride is our union as sisters, and our greatest challenge is keeping our pioneering spirit up to date. This is what makes our coffee stand out. If we keep a step ahead of the changing market, we’ll always be in a strong position.” Year after year, we’re impressed with the precision and professionalism shown by these outstanding producers. Now in our fourth year of purchasing from the Pereira Sisters, this year’s naturally processed lot exudes silky texture and decadent flavours—perfect for milk-based drinks. A rich and welcoming espresso for the masses!
