In addition to classic Brazilian varieties like Yellow BourbonBourbonOne of the two foundational arabica varieties (with Typica), named after Île Bourbon (Réunion). Sweet, balanced, caramel-leaning; parent of countless modern cultivars., the farm cultivates more than 30 exotic coffee varieties. Progressive cultivation practices, such as shade plantation, combined with innovative drying processes, contribute to distinctive and exciting flavours. This Bourbon lot is the first we’ve contracted from Luiz Paulo. We found it beautifully structured, with rich texture and plump, well-rounded flavours, all coming together in a coffee perfect for espresso brewing. Since its inception, Santuario Sul has earned recognition in the Brazil Cup of ExcellenceCup of Excellence (COE)A national competition and auction that identifies a country's best lots each year; winning 'COE' lots command dramatic price premiums. competition, securing placements for four consecutive years since 2018. Most notably, in 2021, Luiz’s naturally processed Yellow Bourbon achieved an impressive second-place finish with a remarkable score of 90.14 points This is a testament to his endless dedication to the industry.
