Character

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Antigua is one of Guatemala’s three non-volcanic regions, as well as its highest and driest under cultivation, making it one of the best for coffee production. Coffees from Antigua are grown on the slopes of volcanoes receiving lots of sun and little rain, producing complex, fruity flavors. The region has abundant rivers and streams, making it relatively easy for producers to set up mills. With a taste that is subtle and mild yet still complex and interesting, coffee from Antigua will have a full body, heavy sweetness and medium acidity. Expect lots of chocolate and hints of fruity notes. Pastoral is the most distinguished of the Bourbon coffee strain that was introduced by the French in the early 1800’s. The coffee is grown under a dense canopy of shade in 65% year round humidity – perfect conditions for speciality cultivation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row] Facts Farm : Fedecocagua Location : Antigua Varietals : Bourbon Process : Washed Elevation : 1650 meters Farmer : Fedecocagua cooperative Taste Profile : Vanilla, Caramel, Butter
