Introducing our Espresso Futurista, a new limited-time, robusta-forward espresso blendBlendCoffees from multiple origins roasted or mixed together for a consistent, balanced profile year-round — the traditional backbone of espresso menus.. Robusta has long played a supporting role in classic Italian espresso, but it doesn’t usually take the lead. We decided to make this blend after sourcing exceptional coffee from Java and wanting to show what it’s capable of. Half of this unconventional blend is a fruity Java naturalNatural processThe whole cherry is dried with the fruit still on the seed. Gives heavier body and big fruit flavors — think berries and wine — sometimes with a fermenty edge. robusta from Garut Regency in West Java, balanced by a chocolatey washedWashed processThe fruit is removed from the seed before drying, usually with fermentation and a water rinse. Tends to give clean, transparent cups where origin character shows clearly. Guatemala arabica from Huehuetenango in western Guatemala. The result isn’t what you’d find at your typical American café, and it’s not quite what you’d find in Italy either. It lives in the space between tradition and new wave. Expect a bold, full-bodied shot with an especially creamy texture and notes of Brazil nut, nutmeg, and pear brandy.
