The Shyira coffee is named after the Shyira Coffee Washing StationWashing stationA central mill where many smallholder farmers deliver cherry for processing. In Ethiopia, Kenya, and Rwanda the station name (e.g. Idido) often identifies the coffee., which showcases the resilience and potential of coffee farming in Nyabihu. This region is known for producing some of Rwanda’s most unique and sought-after specialty coffees.
